Ayla was just a pretty skilled Jedi, it wouldn't be much of a contest, Maul actualy managed to kill Qui Gon Jinn, one of the best Jedi in history, while also (for a little while) fighting Obi Wan. Ayla's good, but would be lucky to stand more than 8 seco- |

i honestly think it comes down to Force mastery. there are arguments for and against saber styles. wookieepedia, however, says that Maul is an established Jai'Kar practioner, while Aaeyla is only a occasional user. Maul therefor must be more likely to win |
